Dermal needles can be used as a non-surgical tool which is safe for all skin types. Fine microneedles stimulate the cell regeneration of the skin. Micro-needling, skin rolling or collagen induction therapy (CIT) sets a skin renewal process in motion and promotes the proliferation of keratinocytes and collagen. The skin becomes noticeably thicker and firmer and looks smoother. The healing process with the production of collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid is started immediately after the treatment. Results are usually visible within just one week and continue to develop for up to a year.

Various needle lengths are used to treat different skin problems. Needles in lengths of 1.5 mm, 2.0 mm or 2.5 mm are most often used for the reduction of cellulite, pregnancy marks, stretch marks, scars or slack tissue. Smaller needles in lengths of 0.2 mm, 0.25 mm, 0.3 mm, 0.5 mm or 1.0 mm are ideally suited to treat fine to moderate wrinkles, small scars on the face, pigmentation problems and other cosmetic treatments.

Dermal needles in the size from 0.25mm to 0.75mm in combination with medicine can also be used to treat hair loss (regrowth and regeneration).
