After seven years of study and surgical activities focusing on general surgery in Munich, he has worked intensively with traditional Chinese medicine since 1990. Since 1993 he runs a practice for TCM in Chiemgau Germany. He is a lecturer at the Societas Medicinae Sinensis (SMS), Munich / Hamburg Academy of Chinese Acupuncture, Berlin. In addition to publications in journals, he also wrote the "Guided ear acupuncture" or „Leitfaden Ohrakupunktur“ (4th edition 2007) in the Elsvier publishing house. He is also the author of several instructional materials, such as ear acupuncture map, educational CD-ROMs and flash cards. Since 2008, he is member of the examination board of the State Medical Association Bavaria for acupuncture.
