Sanshin products
In the contact-needle technique (Sanshin) e.g. gold and silver needles with a round tips are applied ("touched") onto acupuncture points on the skin. Since the needles are not inserted into the body of the patient, not any pain or discomfort associated with the regular needling method is experienced. The treatment initiates energetic flow through the properties of the different metals in contact with the energy of the specific meridian points.
This technique is particularly suitable for adults who are very sensitive or for children (Shonishin: Non-Insertive Pediatric Acupuncture) who are afraid of needles.
